We'd like to extend an invitation to all who are interested in the Danish heritage to join us at one of our monthly meetings (except July and August). You don't have to be a Dane to join our friendly group. Many of our members are second or third generation Danish, some are married to Danes, some are actually from the Old Country and others just enjoy the sociability of good friends.
To attend a meeting, please call Torben first just to be sure our meeting is at the club that month, and not at a special place like the theatre:

Our March 17th meeting was hosted by Torben Christiansen, with a delicious meal including the homemade Danish dessert that, to his surprise, was augmented by Bente's pistachio birthday cake! He also had a new game that we all enjoyed.
We held our February meeting jointly with Lodge 172 in Philadelphia at their lodge. The occasion was the Installation of officers to both lodges. The theme was Mardi Gras, and Elin Jeantet of Lodge 172 arranged a wonderful evening that included a Cajun buffet, a 2 piece (3 piece when our Rick Thoren joined in) dixie band and a contest of masks. Photos on the next page.
TORBEN CHRISTIANSEN is our new president, with ED BLADT as his vice-president.

TORBEN and ULLA present their beautiful and scrumptious Danish smorgasbord sandwiches.
Bente receives her Past President pin from Torben.
Rick Thoren and Elin Jeantet with the swinging Dixieland band, the Craig Satchel Experience.
Rick brought his own famous spoons and joined the band for a few numbers.
Sharon and Tage took the prize for masks. His was handcrafted by Sharon and their granddaughter Tia (8 yrs. old) and Sharon's was a treasure from a past trip to New Orleans.
